Areas of Practice

Supervised Visitation

Supervised visitation refers to the contact between the parent needing supervision and their children in the presence of a supervisor, who is an unbiased third party responsible for the observation and safety of the children during the visit. The purpose and goal of supervised visitation is to prevent children from being entangled in the conflicts of separation and divorce, so they can enjoy safe contact with the parent needing supervision. The visitation may take place in a location ordered by the Court, or if no location requirements are ordered, then the parent making the request shall specify the location. Sophia takes detailed notes and wears a body camera to record the visits correctly.

Supervised Exchanges

A supervised exchange occurs when a neutral third-party monitors the child(ren) being transferred between one parent to the other in order to prevent any contact between parents.

Supervised Calls or Virtual Visitations

Virtual visitation is  a means for non-custodial parents to maintain frequent contact with their child or children. It can be very beneficial for parents and children who live far from one another.  Supervised calls and e-visitation can prevent further disputes between parents while allowing for visitation time.
